Service Dogs Saving Lives (SDSL) is honored to be selected as a recipient of a 2026 Sisterhood For Good Grant, made possible through the generosity of the Sisterhood membership and the James and Sheryl Cobb Family Trust.

“We are incredibly grateful to be recognized by Sisterhood For Good for the first time,” said the founders of Service Dogs Saving Lives. “This transformational grant strengthens our ability to educate communities about ADI-certified service dogs while providing hope and support for veterans, first responders, and their families.”

Through its ADI-certified partners, SDSL provides highly trained service dogs and training scholarships, free of charge, to veterans and first responders who have experienced prior self-harming tendencies, an often overlooked population.

The grant will help fund a training scholarship for a deserving recipient and support the publication of Josie, an educational children’s book for grades K–3 that teaches young readers about the life-changing impact of service dogs on individuals and families.

SDSL also extends special thanks to Board Member Ally Hatfield Broaddus, whose research and dedication led the organization to the grant opportunity and guided the application process.
