Salute to Our Veterans

On Saturday, March 29, the 14th Annual Venice High Baseball Veterans Night was hosted to honor those who have served our country. The event hosts free admission, a barbeque meal, and a token of appreciation to each Veteran and their spouse. This year, the salute to Veterans was held in memory of Colonel Jack Dundas, a frequent mainstay at Venice baseball events. Ray Sinibaldi, author and educator, announced the name of each veteran honoree, and cheers greeted them as they walked onto the field to recognize their service to our country. Service Dogs Saving Lives- a Dedication to Joseph Johnson was honored to share our message of hope and give each veteran a tote bag as a remembrance.
